Camp Have-A-Blast is primarily outdoors. All activities—except the Video Game Truck and certain special events—take place in grass park environments with access to shaded areas. Activities are planned with sun exposure, rest periods, and hydration in mind throughout the day.
-
Camp Have-A-Blast focuses on active, social, and hands-on play. Screen time is limited and used intentionally during designated breaks or specific supervised activities. All screen-based activities are fully supervised and emphasize teamwork, cooperation, and communication.

A refillable water bottle labeled with their name
-
Lunch and any additional snacks

-
We provide one snack each day for campers. Campers must bring their own lunch and refillable water bottle. Drinking water and refill stations are available throughout the day. If a camper forgets their water bottle, bottled water may be provided as needed.
-
We maintain an average 10:1 camper-to-staff ratio to ensure safety, engagement, and individualized attention. During special activity days or larger camp sessions, additional staff may be added to ensure proper supervision.
-
All Camp Have-A-Blast staff members are background checked, trained in standard First Aid and CPR, and have prior experience working with children in structured group settings. Our team is focused on creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for every camper.
-
Campers are divided into two age groups: ages 6–9 and ages 10–13. We do our best to accommodate friend grouping requests whenever possible. Families may note requests during registration, and staff will balance these requests with age and activity needs.
-
We welcome children of all kinds. While we do our best to adapt activities for campers with special needs, not all activities are suitable for children with moderate to severe support needs. If your child requires significant additional care or accommodations, please contact us in advance so we can determine whether Camp Have-A-Blast is the right fit.
-
Yes. Day Passes are available for $135 per day and may be purchased the morning of camp at the camp location. New Day Pass campers must have a parent or guardian present with a valid ID to complete required forms before participating.
If enrolling in a full week after the week has already begun, the Day Pass rate will apply to any attended days.
-
We understand that campers have different interests and energy levels. A separate Chill Zone is always available for campers who choose not to participate in their group’s main activity. The Chill Zone includes board and card games, yard games, coloring activities, sports equipment, and other engaging options.
-
Our programming is designed to adapt to heat and changing weather conditions. We incorporate shaded play, hydration breaks, rest periods, and modified activities as needed to keep campers safe and comfortable.
-
Our staff actively monitors campers throughout the day. If a camper becomes injured or unwell, staff will provide appropriate care and contact parents or guardians as needed.
-
Camp Have-A-Blast follows a clear refund and rescheduling policy outlined during registration. Once a registered week of camp begins, all registrations are final regardless of attendance. All refund-related questions should be directed to El Segundo Parks and Recreation.
-
Every Friday—the final day of each camp session—is our legendary Friday Family Showdown. From 1:30pm–3:00pm, parents, siblings, and family members are invited to attend the final portion of camp at no additional cost. The event features prizes, high-energy games, and exciting parents-vs-kids activities and is a highlight of every camp week.
-
Each week of Camp Have-A-Blast features an optional Special Activity Upgrade — a unique, high-energy experience designed to add an extra layer of fun for campers who want something a little different that day.
These special activities rotate weekly and may include things like interactive workshops, guest entertainers, creative build-and-play experiences, or other exciting surprises we bring in just for that session. Each upgrade is offered as an optional add-on and typically ranges from $25–$50, depending on the activity.
Participation in the Special Activity is completely optional, and all campers continue to enjoy a full day of games, battles, and core Camp Have-A-Blast programming regardless of whether they choose the upgrade.
Details for each week’s Special Activity will be shared with families in advance so you can decide what’s the best fit for your camper.
